For the last few years, I have collected lots of washi tape. I love using washi in my Bullet Journal. It’s a great way to add that extra bit of decoration and is perfect for everyone. For today’s post, I thought I would swatch my washi tape collection and tell you which ones are my favourite. Without further ado, let’s get to it!
Disclaimer: The catergories for my washi tape swatches are a bit broad. What I mean is that some of the washi could end up in multiple categories so apologies if you think one bit of washi tape should end up in another category. I also have the worst memory with where I got these from so I’m really sorry I can’t say where my favourites are from. Ok, now let’s get to it!
Purple Washi Tape
I have 21 purple washi tapes. I actually find this quite surprising considering purple is one of my favourite colours. My favourite washi tapes in this category are the 6th one down on the left (the bow one), the 10th one down on the left (the geometric circle one) and the 2nd one down on the right (the pink and purple floral one). These are probably the ones I use most often in this particular category!
Green and Brown
I have 28 green and brown washi tapes. I grouped green and brown together as I think you’re able to use these washi tapes together quite nicely. Considering how much I love to do vintage style spreads in my journals, I’m amazed I don’t have more. All of these washi tapes are the ones I use the most hands down. My favourites are the 3rd one down on the left (a gorgeous leaf one), the bottom one on the left (another leaf one), and the 10th one down in the middle (a meadow one). I have had that meadow washi tape for years and it’s still going strong to this day.
Red and Pink
As you can probably tell, I have a lot of red and pink washi tape, 53 to be exact. I think there’s just so much red and pink washi tape in the market that it’s likely that this was going to be the biggest category. They’re all so pretty! My favourites are all on the first page. They are the 7th one down on the left (pink and white stripes), the 9th one down on the left (cherry blossoms), the 9th one on the right (pineapples) and the 11th one on the right (pink and gold). For some reason, I love the pink and gold together. I think it works well so nicely!
Black and White
I have 12 black and white (and grey) washi tapes. I feel like I’m missing a thick block colour in this collection though so I think I’m going to have to get that as my next washi. My favourites in this category are the third one down (the really thick one full of writing) which I absolutely adore. It’s got a really vintage feel to it. My other favourite is the 7th one down (the tree one) which for some reason gives me lots of calm vibes.
I have so many favourites in this category. There are so many beautiful blue washi tapes and I can’t wait to add more to my collection. My favourites are the 1st one on the left (a beautiful daisy one), the 5th one down on the left (the blue and gold art decor one), the 8th one down (it’s actually based on Almond Blossoms by Vincent Van Gogh), the 3rd one down in the middle (another art decor type one) and the 8th one down (based on Starry Nights by Vincent Van Gogh).
Orange and Yellow
I actually only have one favourite in this category. Don’t get me wrong, I think these are beautiful washi tapes but I’m basing this on washi that I use the most. My favourite one is the 6th one down which is the funky geometric one. I definitely need to add more to this collection.
I have to admit, I should probably call this gold and bronze rather than just gold. Regardless, my favourites are the 5th one down on the left (the gold writing one) and the 4th one down in the middle (the gold circles one).
I have the least amount of silver washi tape. I feel like there’s not much silver washi tape on the market. If anyone knows where to get some, please let me know down below! My favourite one is the 1st one, mainly because I think it’s really pretty.
If I’m honest, I could pick every single washi tape in this category as my favourite. They’re all absolutely stunning and ones I use quite a lot.
And that’s my washi tape collection! Thank you so much for reading.
