My Current and Recent Music Favourites

For some reason, I haven’t talked about what I’ve been listening to a lot recently. As someone who listens to music every day, I feel I should do these blog posts more often. Music is a great way to take time out of the real world, to take your mind elsewhere, to feel something and embrace something.

I have noted down music that I’ve been listening to a whole load of times and I’m going to talk about them in this blog post. There’s no real structure to this. I have albums, songs related to a certain thing, singles etc. I wasn’t sure how to lay this all but I hope you enjoy it all the same.

SOUR – Olivia Rodrigo

I have been absolutely obsessed with Olivia Rodrigo’s album. I know it feels like everyone is on about this album and some may find it overrated but I absolutely love it. I love her voice and the style of music is something I enjoy listening to anyway. I think she did a wonderful job. My favourite songs on the album are “brutal” and “favorite crime.” Of course, “drivers license”, “deja vu” and “good 4 u” are also really good. The whole album is good.

Eurovision Songs

  • Voices – Tusse
  • Fallen Angel – TIX
  • 10 Years – Daoi Freyr
  • Shum – Go_A
  • Discoteque – THE ROOP
  • ZITTI E BUONI – Maneskin

Since the Eurovision Song Contest aired in May 2021, I have been listening to loads of Eurovision songs a lot. This year was definitely one of the best Eurovision contests in a while. My two favourites from the list above (which are the songs I’ve been listening to the most) are Discoteque and Shum which are incredible!

Because of Eurovision, this has led me to listen to a bunch of songs from Maneskin, the winner of this year’s contest.

Like I mentioned before, I ended up down the rabbit hole of listening to Maneskin’s music. It’s times like these where I have to thank not only Eurovision but Tiktok. Tiktok has been obsessed with a bunch of different songs by Maneskin and this resulted in me downloading a bunch. A few of my favourites are of course their Eurovision entry but also:

  • Beggin
  • Somebody Told Me

That’s pretty much it at the moment in terms of my music favourites. I’ll probably do more of these in the future when I’m listening to new things. Thank you so much for reading!

Love Beth
