When I was thinking about blog posts I wanted to write, I realised that I haven’t done a Q&A in a long time. I asked for questions on my twitter and received some (thank god) so now I’m going to answer them!
When did you start blogging?
I first started blogging in 2017. I’m pretty sure when I got serious about blogging I deleted some short posts but I couldn’t tell you what they were about. My first blog post was about wondering whether university was right for me which is sort of ironic considering I still haven’t managed to go. Still, it will be September time!
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging after reading lots of blog posts when I was doing my A Levels. A lot of the blog posts I read were about studying and productivity and I also read a lot of theatre reviews. It was because of this that I realised I could potentially do this myself and so I decided to try it. I haven’t looked back since.
What’s your favourite thing to write about?
I really enjoy writing about my Bullet Journal. Because it’s worked so well for me, I want to encourage the system for others. I enjoy writing about my monthly setups the most but sometimes I like to talk about different layouts and how Bullet Journals can help with a specific thing, like mental health or blogging. Either way, blogging about the Bullet Journal system is my favourite thing to do.
Would you like to make blogging your full-time job?
Initially this was something I wanted to do but the more I think about it, the more I’m content with having it as a part-time job. I’ve mentioned before that I want to go to university to study Law with Criminology and I hope to become a lawyer after that. I am happy with how much time I spend blogging currently and all the time I’m enjoying it and can put 100% effort into it, I will continue to keep doing it.
How do you juggle blogging with your everyday life?
I try to structure my day that allows me to put time into my blog. As I’m not working at the moment, I spend roughly 2 hours a day focusing on my blog. If I was working, I would decrease this to possibly half an hour or focus on blogging on my days off. I don’t let blogging consume me though. I think it’s very important to have that balance.
How do you come up with content?
I would say I don’t have like a specific way of coming up with content. I mainly just blog about what I want to blog about. Sometimes I ask people for ideas and sometimes I get inspiration from fellow bloggers but otherwise it’s just whatever I fancy. I do dedicate some time where I brainstorm different ideas I have and put them on a blog post ideas spread in my Bullet Journal. I then choose whatever takes my fancy to blog about on a certain day!
What’s your most viewed post?
My most viewed post is my review of the Revolution CC Perfecting Foundation. It was my first makeup review and I’m still proud of it to this day.
Thank you so much for reading. I will see you next week.
