Welcome to day 17 of blogmas.
I’m actually quite shocked that I haven’t done a favourites blog post before. Today’s post is going to be all about my favourites from 2020 as well as things I discovered this year. Without further ado, let’s get to it!
The Invisible Man 2020
I’ve only just recently got round to seeing The Invisible Man but I had to include it as it was a really good film. It’s scary, well-acted, visually looks incredible and is a great interpretation (albeit loosely) of The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells. It gives a believable update on how someone could become invisible with modern technology.
American Murder: The Family Next Door
A truly heartbreaking documentary, this is about the Watts Family Murders in Colorado in 2018. It’s a very difficult watch but gives a good insight into what happened.
Was anyone else absolutely gripped by this when it came out? I saw so many people watching it on my Twitter timeline that I just had to jump on the bandwagon. There’s so much going on in this documentary series, it’s insane.
The Good Place
I’m actually ashamed that it look me so long to see this. It’s probably one of my favourite shows of all time. It had me laughing, it had me crying. There are a few twists in there. It’s perfect to me.
All or Nothing Tottenham Hotspur
I’m not a Tottenham supporter but this was very enjoyable to watch. I loved getting a behind the scenes insight to training, transfers, injuries and just the overall running of the club. There were also plenty of memes to appear from the show which we can always appreciate.
Hold My Girl – George Ezra
I don’t quite know why I haven’t heard this song until next year as it’s absolutely beautiful. I love a lot of George Ezra songs but this one is probably my favourite.
Heart of Glass – Miley Cyrus
Can we all agree that Miley Cyrus has the perfect voice for rock? This is an amazing cover and one I always have on repeat.
Wait – M83
Is this one of the most beautiful songs to exist? I believe so. I honestly get chills whenever I listen to this. It’s almost haunting but in every good way.
I adore Dead Meat. The kill count episodes are my absolute favourite which I always look forward to each week. The premise of the kill count episodes is tallying up the victims in all our favourite horror movies. They got me nto horror films again which I’m thankful for.
Helen is one of the most inspirational people in the bullet journal community. Her videos are a delight to watch and I’ve gotten so many ideas from watching her.
I have been a subscriber of Georgia’s for quite some time but I have just absolutely loved her content this year. She des a variety of videos but her history series has been fantastic this year.
Dead Meat Podcast
I love the Dead Meat Podcast so much. It’s an extension from their youtube channel where they take a deeper insight into horror. They review films, do research episodes and even play a few games.
The Greatest Game with Jamie Carragher
I love podcasts where it involves interviewing people. I particularly like this one as it’s all to do with Football. I loved the episode featuring Steven Gerrard so I highly recommend it.
David Tennant does a Podcast with..
Oversized Graphic T-shirts
I love over-sized t-shirts! You can pair them with pretty much anything and they will look good. I particularly like graphic ones such as in the picture above as it just offers that extra bit more!
If you ask anyone in my family, they will tell you I lived in sliders for the majority of the year. They are just so comfortable which I like.
Because of everything that has happened this year, I haven’t spent much time going outside and when I have, it’s been for work. The nature of my job means I don’t like to wear heavy makeup and a tinted moisturiser has been perfect for this.
Nikki Tutorials and Beauty Bay Eyeshadow Palette
I was so excited when this palette was announced and I had to get my hands on it. The pigmentation is ridiculous and the colours are stunning.
Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub
I received this in the October edition of Glossybox from this year and it has done wonders for my skin. It works extremely well and I’m very glad this is a part of my skincare routine.
Ink Pot Notebook
I have completely and utterly fallen in love with this notebook. I am so grateful this was sent to me all those months ago as I won’t use any other brand now for my notebooks.
Staedtler Pigment Liners
These have been a recent favourite but I just had to include them because they are that good. They are really good quality, waterproof and dry quickly.
Tombow Brush Pens
I have almost collected all of the colours for this brush pen so it’s no surprise they make my list. They are gorgeous brush pens with beautiful colours.
Thank you for reading. I’d love to know what your 2020 favourites are.
