I normally don’t do beauty related blog posts but today I wanted to do something different. I’ve got quite a collection of eyeshadow palettes now and I thought I would share 5 of my favourites. I’ve taken pictures of the palette and also swatched the shades so you can see what they’re like.
Revolution – Reloaded Basic Mattes
This is the only fully matte palette in my collection and I really like it. There’s a variety of shades in there and they are all decently pigmented considering they are mattes. Obviously mattes don’t swatch particularly well but having used this multiple times, they apply really nicely. You can get it here.
Juvia’s Place – The Nubian
I adore this palette so much! It’s a gorgeous neutral/warm toned palette which is my type of palette all the time. The mattes are lovely but the shimmer shades are incredible. They’re so pigmented and work really well with a flat brush as well as your finger. One of them also has a duo chrome undertone to it which I love. You can get it here.
Revolution – Forever Flawless We Are Love
This palette is beautiful. It’s a palette for Pride, and they donated£20,000 from the sales of this palette to centrepointuk (UK) and truecolorsunited (USA) emergency appeals, to combat the surge in homelessness within youth and LGBTQIA communities during the COVID-19 crisis. Some of the shimmers have a really creamy consistency which I like and it’s just a beautiful bright and colourful palette! You can get it here. However, at the time of writing, this palette is out of stock and I’m not sure if it’s limited edition.
Revolution – Soph Extra Spice
This is a palette in collaboration with youtuber Sophdoeslife and it’s beautiful. She released a previous palette before this one which is also beautiful but I think I prefer this one due to the variety of the shades and how pigmented they are! You can get it here.
Beauty Bay – Origin
This is such a beautiful palette. For me, it’s a perfect everyday palette due to the amount of neutral shades. The mattes are particularly very pigmented but that’s not to say the shimmers perform well. I also like the fact there’s information showing what shades are for base, transition, crease etc so this would work well as a beginner’s palette too! You can get it here.
And that’s it! Thank you very much for reading and I shall see you next week!
