10 of My Favourite Films as a Child

I grew up spending a lot of time watching various different films. Being transported into a new world captivated me and as a result, I ended up with some favourites that I go back and watch to this day.

I thought I would share 10 of them here with you today because I love doing these types of blog posts. I would like to clarify that I have not included any Pixar films in this list as  I did a blog post on my favourites not too long ago. Without further ado, let’s get to it!

Matilda – 1996

Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory – 1971

Mary Poppins – 1964

Beauty and the Beast – 1991

The Nightmare Before Christmas – 1993

The Lion King – 1994

Scooby Doo on Zombie Island

Mamma Mia – 2008

The Little Mermaid – 1989

The Parent Trap – 1998

So here are 10 of my favourite films as a child! I included some musical films, such as Mamma Mia and Mary Poppins. I associate Mamma Mia as being the film that got me into musical theatre so I had to include that!

I also included a bunch of Disney films such as The Parent Trap and their popular animated films like Beauty and the Beast etc. I love Disney and I’m very thankful for Disney +.

I also have some random films included like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Scooby Doo which were quite scary to me when I was younger! They’re probably the reason why I like horror films so much.

Thank you so much for reading! What were some of your favourite films from when you were a child? Let me know!

Love Beth
