Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post! Today’s post is a continuation of a previous post I did for Blogmas which you can find here. In that post, I read through old journal entries from 2017 and I really enjoyed writing it so here is part two! In this post, I’ll be looking from the year 2018! Let’s get started.
“Got a B. Yay!” – 8th January
“Got some more washi tape and some freebies. Yay.” – 11th January
“Shit day. Did bad on English mock. Onwards and upwards.” – 16th January
January was pretty average for me. I have absolutely no idea what exam I got a B in but if I had to guess, it was probably History as that was the subject I struggled the most in.
I very much appreciate that I had an obsession with washi tape 2 years ago like I still do to this day. I don’t know what the freebies are though which is annoying. That’s why I stopped doing the one line a day spread because it annoys me that I can’t be more detailed.
I do remember being absolutely gutted with the grade I received in English Language. I was so confident that I had done well but it wasn’t meant to be.
“Now it’s time for Britain’s Darkest Taboos.” – 13th February
“I’m about to have a panic attack.” – 27th February
Around this time, I was watching Britain’s Darkest Taboos on Netflix. This was a really good true crime documentary series and I’m gutted it’s not on Netflix anymore.
It absolutely pains me that I was so unwell on that particular day. I had written quite a hefty paragraph about how I was feeling and looking back on that kind of upsets me. I’m so pleased that I have gotten into a position where I don’t have panic attacks anymore.
“So the principal said we won’t get penalised if we don’t make it in. So I didn’t go in.” – 1st March
“HE HUGGED ME! I love Ian so much!” – 6th March
I don’t know why but the first sentence makes me laugh very hard. It just sums up the attitude I had towards A Levels.
I remember this day like it was yesterday and it makes me very happy. I went to see Ian Hallard in a play called Foul Pages and I met him afterwards and I got a hug.
“I really enjoyed Pride with Georgia even though the weather was really warm” – 7th July
I had an amazing day at Pride with my friend. That day was actually the most recent time I went to London Pride and it was a very good day which I’m happy about!
“I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.” – 16th August
This was A Level Results Day and the day I found out I didn’t get into my first choice university. I remember being absolutely gutted at the time but I really do believe in what I said. I mean, I ended up withdrawing from the uni that was my insurance choice!
And that’s it for this blog post! The rest of the entries from 2018 are a bit too personal which is why I’m not sharing them. Thank you for reading and I will conclude this series very soon!
