Hello everyone and welcome to day 20 of Blogmas! Today’s post is going to be another one that’s quite rambly with no sort of structure as I talk about podcasts. I love a good podcast so I thought I would discuss them a little bit and then share my recommendations with you all! Let’s get to it!
For those of you who don’t know, a podcast is a series of spoken, audio episodes which are often focused on a particular topic. You can find a podcast on pretty much anything: true crime, meditation, sports etc. I love listening to these as they are great things to have on whilst you’re getting on with day to day tasks. Typically, podcasts are just audio-only but you can sometimes get podcasts that have youtube videos accompanied with them.
I listen to the podcasts I like on the iOS app called Podcasts which is completely free! You can also listen to podcasts on Spotify and other places as well!
It’s now time to share with you all my favourite podcasts!
The Dead Meat Podcast
The Dead Meat Podcast is my favourite podcast at the moment. Hosted by James and Chelsea, two people who are engaged and like to get scared together, this podcast is the extension of the popular Youtube Channel, Dead Meat. They review horror films, play games and discuss film history with in-depth research and academia that is both informative and entertaining!
Backstage with… is a new discovery but one that I really enjoy. This podcast interviews some of the biggest stars in the West End. They discuss stories of shows people have worked on and other industry-related stories. If you’re a musical theatre fan, I highly recommend this!
David Tennant Does a Podcast with…
I love this podcast from David Tennant. This particular podcast entails Tennant interviewing some big names from TV, films, comedy and more. Notable interviewees include Michael Sheen, Catherine Tate, Gordon Brown, Olivia Colman and more!
Mile Higher Podcast
This podcast is hosted by Youtuber Kendall Rae and her husband, Josh Thomas. They talk mainly about True Crime and conspiracy theories but they have also delved into futurism, news stories that aren’t covered by the mainstream media. If you like this sort of thing, I would highly recommend checking this podcast out!
We Hate Movies
A new discovery thanks to the Dead Meat podcast, We Hate Movies force themselves to watch bad movies and then they talk about it on the podcast. This is a funny podcast and I highly recommend it!
Thank you so much for reading and I shall see you tomorrow!
