Hello everyone and welcome to day 16 of Blogmas. Today’s post is a good old self-reflective blog post as I’m looking back on my 2019 goals or new year resolutions or whatever you want to call them.
If I’m honest, I haven’t been that invested in my goals this year. I obviously thought about them and wrote them down at the beginning of the year but I haven’t looked at them since. For 2020, I will be changing that and I will be making sure I am on progress to achieve the goals I decide on.
Anyway, let’s look back on my 2019 goals and see how I did!
This is something that didn’t go well for me this year. I have struggled with this in the past and unfortunately, this has continued into 2019. I’m really hoping that 2020 will be different for me so that I can finally achieve this goal!
Become more fit
Again, this is something that hasn’t gone well for me. Sure, I have been exercising more than I normally would but my fitness levels haven’t really improved. This is something I will take with me into 2020.
Learn a new language
I’m really pleased to say I am making progress with this goal. My family and I moved to North Wales last month. The area we’re in has a population of predominantly welsh speaking people and so I want to learn the language. It will be good to know a second language and I’m happy Duolingo exists for me to do that.
Continue to make progress with my anxiety
I like to think that I have achieved this goal. I feel more comfortable talking on the phone which is something I dread doing. I managed to go to university (albeit for a month.) I’m more outgoing. It’s the little achievements that mean the world to me.
Blog every week with 2 blog series featuring at some point in the year
I’m also very happy I achieved this goal. I did a mini bullet journal series in July and of course, I’m doing Blogmas. There were a few weeks that I wasn’t able to post but overall, I’m really happy.
Go to the theatre and cinema more often
I managed to go to the theatre more often which I’m happy about. Unfortunately, I didn’t go to the cinema much this year. This something I’d like to improve on in 2020.
Thank you so much for reading and see you tomorrow!
