BLOGMAS: My Favourite Festive Films

Hello everyone and welcome to day 4 of Blogmas. Today’s post is all about festive films and my favourite ones. I love watching a good Christmas film under the blanket with a hot chocolate and these are the ones I like to go for!

The Holiday – 2006

I absolutely love watching the Holiday every single year. It stars Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black and it’s actually one of my favourite rom-coms.

The Polar Express – 2004

I absolutely love The Polar Express with every fibre in my body. The animation is incredible and the songs are really lovely. It reminds me of when I was younger and was still believing in Santa. Plus, Tom Hanks is amazing.

Love Actually – 2003

It wouldn’t be a “my favourite festive films” list without featuring Love Actually. The ensemble cast is incredible, the film is funny and just genuinely so sweet and sad and fun.

Home Alone – 1990

The first from this franchise, Home Alone will forever remain a classic. It’s hilarious but at the same time, fully encaptures Christmas. I love it so much.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

However, I prefer Home Alone 2 slightly more. Don’t get me wrong, the original is such a classic but the setting of Home Alone 2 is amazing. I love that it’s set in New York and it always makes me want to go and visit New York at Christmas. Someone take me, please!

Elf – 2004

Elf is an absolute classic and a necessary feature for any list about Christmas films. Honestly, writing this post makes me want to go and watch all of these films immediately!

Thank you so much for reading! Let me know in the comments some of your favourite festive films. See you tomorrow!

Love Beth
