Hello everyone! I hope you are all having an amazing national stationery week! Today’s blog post is all about my Bullet Journal Setup for the month of May! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how this works!
This month’s theme is a city skyline theme. I was torn between that specific theme and geometric shapes and so I asked the lovely folks over at my bujo instagram to vote for this month’s theme instead and you guys came through for city skyline! This month is going to be very different for me as the only colours I will essentially be using are black, grey and white. I’ve wanted to do like a monochrome colour scheme for the entire month for a while and I just feel like this theme will fit in perfectly with that!
Without further ado, lets get into it!
Cover Page
So as I mentioned before, this month’s theme is city skylines and so I decided to go for a pretty basic and standard drawing throughout. Although, I would like to add that’s because my drawing skills aren’t the best. I used my stabilo point 88 fine liner as well as my tombow dual brush pen in black and my faber castell coloured pencils which I really like! Whilst I make a point about the stationery I used for the cover page, please note it’s the same stationery I used for the rest of my spreads! I really like the outcome of my cover page. I think it sets off the start of theme and the month really nicely!
Important Dates
I’m a big fan of the way my monthly spread section turned out! I used a Pentel Fude Touch Brush Pen for the titles and I think the overall vibe works really well. I made the dates into a skyscraper and I think it looks really cool and gives me lots of London and New York vibes which I really like.
Trackers
I once again created the same sort of vibe on my tracker spreads as I did for the monthly spread. I really wanted to do an individual habit tracker for May as it’s my absolute favourite but I couldn’t figure out a way to make it work in conjunction with the theme so we shall be back to that next month! As for my mood tracker, I actually don’t mind using a graph style for this month as I’ve found I’m getting a little bored of using colours to reflect my mood. Sometimes, I get bored of things if they become too repetitive which is why I’ve mixed up my monthly spreads recently from the usual calendar spread I normally like.
Gratitude Log and Sleep Tracker
There’s not much to update for my gratitude log and sleep tracker. The layouts are exactly the same as last month as I found they worked really well for me. I found it hard to incorporate the theme into these spreads and so I decided to use some washi tape from AliExpress within the same colour scheme to decorate these spreads and I am obsessed with the way it turned out!
Brain Dump
Once again, there isn’t much to update for my brain dump spread! It’s exactly the same as it was last month and I used the same washi tape as I did before and I really like the way it turned out.
Thank you so much for reading and see you soon!
Ooh I like the skylines theme! I like how it looks 3D and is simply but really effective! The washi tape is really nice too.
