Hi everyone! Today’s blog post is about my trip to London on 2nd March 2019. I went to London to see Come From Away with My Mum after winning tickets through the Stage Door London App. We also went to the London Dungeons and overall, we had an amazing day! Without further ado, let’s get started.
We woke up at 4:30 in the morning because, guess what, there were engineering works and so we had to go the long way up to London. It was fine though and the journey didn’t feel too long.
Here’s me and my Mum. Isn’t she gorgeous?
Once we got to London, we had a quick breakfast and then went on the tube to Waterloo, which is the nearest underground station to the London Dungeons. The London Dungeons are located on South bank near the London Eye and the Sea Life Centre. The walk, as you can see, is very beautiful and of course I had to get some pictures.
The London Dungeons were really good. We really enjoyed the Sweeney Todd section as well as the rides in there and it was really informative and funny in places. I would definitely recommend!
Once the London Dungeons were done and dusted, we walked over Westminster Bridge (which was absolutely packed by the way) and I got a beautiful shot of the Thames and the London Eye.
We then got the tube from Westminster to Oxford Circus and we went to a Costa where I had a vanilla iced latte (it was amazing by the way.) We then walked up Oxford Street towards Tottenham Court Road Tube Sation (as that’s where the theatre was near) and we went in various different shops including Muji and Primark.
Soon, it was time for us to see Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre in London. As you can see, the outside of the theatre was absolutely stunning.
We then went inside and collected our tickets before heading up to the dress circle bar for a drink. The bar looked extremely pretty (I didn’t get any pictures unfortunately.) There were several flags from different countries up on the ceiling and it looked really lovely. I soon found out that the bar had been refurbished for Come From Away and the result was amazing.
Then it was time for the show. 100 minutes. No interval. Here’s the view from the seats we were sat at. Row K in the Dress Circle if you were wondering.
Guys, this show was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen. I’ll do a full review of it at some point on my blog but I’d like to see it again before I do that. Just know it will have you go through an array of different emotions.
Once we finished at the theatre, we walked through the West End and went to the Theatre Cafe. What was fabulous is they were playing the Come From Away soundtrack.
Look how pretty!
And that was my trip to London. We had the best day. Thank you for reading and see you Wednesday!
