I was looking for ideas for a blog post and found two Christmas tag Q&A type things which I thought would be perfect for this occasion! Part 2, aka the other Christmas Tag, will be up on Wednesday 12th December! Without further ado, let’s get to it!
What is your favourite Christmas film?
This is such a difficult question because I have SOOO many favourites. However, if I were to only pick one, it would have to be Home Alone 2. I have loved this film for so long and it always makes me happy. Equally, it’s also set in a beautiful location!
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
I don’t think I have ever had a white Christmas. I really want to experience it one Christmas though as I imagine it’s the most beautiful and magical thing!
Where do you spend Christmas?
This has actually changed a lot but for the last few years, I spend Christmas at home with my immediate family for the morning and dinner and then we either go over to my Auntie’s or they come over to us for a buffet. We alternate each year and this year, we are due round my Auntie’s.
What’s your favourite Christmas song?
I actually didn’t have to think about this. My favourite Christmas song for as long as I can remember is “Merry Christmas everyone” by Shakin’ Stevens. It makes me so happy and excited for Christmas! However, “Stop the Cavalry” is a close second as it’s my Grandpa’s favourite!
Do you ever open Christmas Presents on Christmas Eve?
When I was younger, my brother and I used to open a Christmas Present on Christmas Eve that was usually new pyjamas. As we got older, it became a DVD. Now, it varies. Either way, we open one present on Christmas Eve!
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Vixen and I can’t remember any more. I’m off to google the rest…
- Secret Santa has been a tradition in my family for a long time. There have been some amazing gifts over the years and it’s always an added bonus to get yourself!
- We always have a takeaway on Christmas Eve!
- A buffet at the end of the day is always a tradition!
- We each have a scratchcard before Christmas dinner!
What’s your favourite festive food or treat?
Hmmm, that’s really hard. I think it has to be anything gingerbread. Oh, I am so craving a gingerbread latte right now!
Where’s your dream place to go for Christmas?
New York, 100%.
Are you a pro wrapper or flop?
I am a pro wrapper and a glider and I am proud of both.
When and how did you find out the truth about Santa?
So back in 2006, I was 7 years old. At the time, we lived in a town house and it’s important to explain some of the layout for this story. My bedroom was on the second floor, the living room was on the first floor and the kitchen was on the ground floor.
On Christmas Eve, I was still awake at about 11pm or something like that and I decided to go down to the kitchen to get a drink. In order to get to the kitchen, you have to go past the living room on the first floor in order to get to the kitchen.
As I was walking down, it became clear that my parents were in the kitchen and as I went past the living room, I could see inside and saw that all of the presents were underneath the tree. I went to the tree and looked at the labels on the presents, with one of them saying “…. from Santa.” and I put two and two together. I went back upstairs in a sulk without getting a drink which is heartbreaking. The end.
Do you stick to New Years resolutions?
I always try to but I always forget to stick to them about a month through. Oops.
I hope you enjoyed this and are looking forward to part 2!
